Pensax Boy wins at Carlisle

Pensax Boy was having his first outing for our yard yesterday and coming back from a 299 day break to have his first run of the season.

He suffered a small injury last year but has been pleasing in his work at home on the gallops, so we weren’t surprised to see him run a big race! Andrew Mullen gave him a patient ride, weaving through the field to get up on the line.

It was a great day for owners Steve & Anita Mares as he was their first winner from the new yard in Worcestershire and their other runner – Little Miss Kodi – finished second in the last race under stable apprentice Toby Eley
