Masquerade Bling Breaks Her Maiden

Masquerade Bling was only having her third start for our yard yesterday but has been a very consistent filly running into the money on numerous occasions.

It was her first trip to Newcastle, where the straight 7f track seemed to suit her. Andrew Mullen was riding her for the first time and she stumbled just after the furlong pole finding herself nearly at the back of the field & leaving us thinking her chance had gone. He pulled her onto the rail from there and she got a clear run to the post, showing a lovely turn of foot and going on to win by well over a length.

We are delighted for owners Chris and Linda Weare, who have persevered with the filly, so it was great to see her finally get her head in front – a well deserved win!
