Chocolate Box made his first start for the yard a winning one! We took him back to Chelmsford, where he was a previous course winner, and stepped him up to 2 miles. Dark Alliance was unlucky not to make it three in a row last time out, but got no luck in running and had to settle for third. He made amends last night in Wolverhampton though and ridden by Edward Greatrex again, he went on to win by a comfortable length in the end. Big Lachie won the Betway sprint handicap up at Newcastle on Friday evening, continuing the good form of the yard. Andrew Mullen rode him for the first time and settled him in midfield before taking it up in the final furlong & going on to win by a length. We were delighted to have our first winner for owners Archie & Jen Tait and Jim and Garry Fernand.
Earlier in the week we traveled Chestnut Fire and Deeleys Double to Chantilly to run on the all-weather track over there. Eoin Walsh went over to ride both horses.
