Masquerade Bling Breaks Her Maiden

Masquerade Bling was only having her third start for our yard yesterday but has been a very consistent filly running into the money on numerous occasions. It was her first trip to Newcastle, where the straight 7f track seemed to suit her. Andrew Mullen was riding her for the first time and she stumbled just after the furlong pole finding herself nearly at the back of the field & leaving us thinking her chance had gone. He pulled her onto … Read More

Open Day a huge success

Last Sunday we had our first Open Day at our new yard and despite the fact that the English weather tried to ruin our plans we still had an amazing turn out and a very enjoyable day. Jason Weaver from Attheraces joined us for the day and helped us to give our guests the opportunity to see our fantastic new facilities & parade & gallop a selection of our horses. We then relaxed and enjoyed some Irish music and fabulous … Read More

Among Angels amongst the winners!

All connections were delighted to see Among Angels get his head in front at Southwell yesterday, as it hasn’t been an easy road to get him back to winning ways. Dale Swift gave him a very strong ride to overcome a bad draw. He was able to sit handy all the way and Angels, who has a big heart, was a very willing partner responding to all Dale’s efforts and galloped all the way to the line, relishing the step … Read More

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As 2016 comes to a close we want to say a massive Thank you to all of our owners for making this our most successful year to date. We have enjoyed 38 winners in the year (36 flat and 2 jumps) and couldn’t have done it without their support. We also owe a lot to our dedicated team of staff that have worked hard throughout the year and continue to give excellent care to the horses everyday – without them … Read More

Winner 30 for the year!

Pensax Lady gets off the mark at the 8th time of asking at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening, making it winner number 30 for 2016. She is a filly that has been running well in defeat and deserved to get her head in front. Graham Gibbons, riding her for the first time, had her handy all the way and she kept on gamely to the line always keeping the favourite at bay. Owners, Steve and Anita Mares, were delighted to see … Read More

Street Outlaw makes it 25 for the year!

Street Outlaw was only having his 4th start for the yard and 2nd start for owners The Wild West Outlaw syndicate when winning the 1m6f handicap at Wolverhampton last night. Andrew Mullen took the ride and as he was trying the trip for the first time he settled him at the back of the field. He got a lovely split up the middle of the track coming up the home straight and won by over a length. It was a … Read More

Magna makes all!

On Tuesday we travelled to Southwell for a jumps meeting. Magna Cartor was having his first run for our yard, after not completing on his last few hurdle races for his previous trainer. We have been doing loads of schooling with him at home & our main aim was to get him round safely! Alain Cawley had also been in to school him the week before. Alain jumped him out in front to try & settle him. He got into … Read More

Oh So Close at Haydock!!

On Saturday we saw the Firm run a cracking race at Haydock and we came desperately close to having winner number 22 for the year – but it was not to be. It looked a competitive race on paper and Dale Swift rode a great race on him to finish third in a blanket finish, agonisingly beaten only a short head and a nose! In truth we could possibly have won the race but for some interference, but the stewards … Read More
